READY FOR SCREENING

After visiting 24 different countries over a two year long shooting period, "The Future of Water" is now edited and ready! An English version of the series will soon be available.

The Norwegian version of the documentary has already been broadcasted twice on the Norwegian leading commercial channel TV2, and received good reviews in Norwegian media. Dagbladet Aftenposten

"The Future of Water" presents unique material from countries on four different continents. Water concerns all human beings - and this documentary has footage from projects and places never visited by film teams before. Interviews with statemen, experts and ordinary people affected by water-issues provide an understanding of how huge projects and controversial plans are intended to save cities, countries and continents, but also of how the larger picture will impact ordinary citizens.

What are the big challenges, and how are different societies preparing to meet them? "The Future of Water" will answer these intriguing questions.

The host of the series, professor Dr. Terje Tvedt, has committed his life to the study of the role of water in history and development. He has travelled down the famous rivers, from Indus to Colorado - and the Rhine - observing how the power of water is transforming the landscapes of societies, and society itself.
